Operational Protocols

All South Bay ECS operational protocols and training follow the National Response Framework (NRF), the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), and the National Emergency Communications Plan (SAFECOM), while utilizing ICS forms.

  • SBECS uses many frequencies, scribes, and data communications methods.

  • SBECS limits who we send messages for and to.

  • SBECS use voice and data nets and subnets with strong emphasis on keeping the SBECS volunteer properly hydrated, fed and mentally alert.
